The expansion will include six new routes, the return of three previously served destinations, and an increase in flight frequencies on almost 30 existing routes from its bases in all three Baltic States.

Thomas Ramdahl, Chief Commercial Officer (Acting) at airBaltic: “Each season, we carefully evaluate the travel needs of our passengers and the overall market dynamics in the region. The additions and increases we are making for summer 2026 reflect our long-term commitment to strengthening connectivity of Latvia and overall Baltic States with the rest of the world. A 7% Increase in Routes for the Summer Season

For the upcoming summer season, airBaltic is preparing to operate nearly 110 routes across all its bases, marking a notable 7% increase compared to the current summer schedule. By offering more connections, airBaltic is reinforcing its role as a key player in the European aviation market, providing passengers with an array of flight options to suit a variety of needs.

More Than 130 Routes Across Multiple Regions

With a strong presence in major European cities such as Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, and Tampere, the airline has become an essential part of the region’s travel infrastructure. The seasonal service to Gran Canaria further expands the network, offering passengers an escape to the Canary Islands during the winter months.

Enhanced Connectivity for International Travel

The increased frequency of flights on select routes will allow airBaltic to better serve its growing customer base, especially in the wake of the post-pandemic recovery period. By offering more options to high-demand locations, the airline hopes to enhance connectivity between major hubs in Europe and other key regions. This improvement is expected to attract more international travellers to airBaltic’s services, reinforcing its status as an airline of choice for European and international travel.
