WisdomTree has added a quantum computing ETF to its range.
The group said quantum computing has gaining commercial viability as there has been a revolutionary shift in information processing, with quantum mechanics now able to perform calculations at speeds and scale far beyond the capabilities of classic computers. This is expected to bring transformational change across industries such as drug discovery, climate modelling and artificial intelligence.

Working with Classiq, a quantum software specialist, WisdomTree has developed a methodology for identifying key players in this space.
The WisdomTree Quantum Computing UCITs ETF will provide exposure to companies such as:
Quantum chip and qubit technology providers
Quantum software and algorithm developers
Quantum-as-a-Service platforms
Quantum networking and communication firms
Providers of post-quantum cryptography
Suppliers of advanced computing infrastructure, semiconductors, and specialised materials

The WisdomTree Quantum Computing UCITs ETF will list on the London Stock Exchange on 3 September. It carries a TER of 0.50%.
WisdomTree has launched a number of thematic ETFs including those investing in European defence, renewable energy, natural gas, strategic metals, Bitcoin and Ethereum.
