The Azerbaijani broadcaster İTV has confirmed it will compete in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna.
Azerbaijan has confirmed its participation in the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. İTV, the Azerbaijani broadcaster, confirmed its participation in the competition to ESC Today.
No details have yet been announced by İTV regarding how they will select their representative for Eurovision 2026. Azerbaijan has held an open song submission process in recent years, with the representative and song selected by a combination of Azerbaijani and international juries.
Mamagama represented Azerbaijan at Eurovision 2025 with “Run With U”. The group finished last in their semi-final, scoring 7 points. This was the first time that Azerbaijan finished last in a Eurovision Song Contest semi-final.

Azerbaijan debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008. They were represented by Elnur & Samir with the song “Day After Day”, who finished 8th in the final. In 2011, Ell & Nikki won the Eurovision Song Contest for Azerbaijan with their song “Running Scared”. The song scored a total of 221 points, receiving only three sets of 12 points from Malta, Russia and Turkey. In 2018, Azerbaijan failed to qualify for the final for the first time, having previously had a 100% qualification record.
