RSM UK has appointed Shannon Dowdles as a tax partner in its corporate tax division in Aberdeen, Scotland.
The appointment is part of the accounting practice’s plans to enhance its services to clients in the energy sector.
In her new capacity, Dowdles will focus on addressing various corporate tax matters including implications of financial structuring, liaising with HMRC, optimisation of tax incentives, tax compliance and provisioning, tax governance and UK market entry strategies.
With more than two decades of experience, Dowdles specialises in providing tax advice to large enterprises in the energy industry, including expertise related to the UK Continental Shelf.

Dowdles’ professional journey began at Deloitte, followed by a progression to partner at EY. She has also served as a tax director for an international drilling company.
