The Dental Care Centre Little Lever was visited by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on July 11.
The dentists, which was formerly just known as The Dental Care Centre, was rated for the first time since changing its name.
For the five different categories – safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led – the service was rated as ‘regulations met’.
The service was not given a critical rating from ‘outstanding’ to ‘inadequate’ as the CQC does not have the legal power to rate dentists.
‘Regulations met’ means a service provider has not “found any breaches” in the areas, and that they are not demanding change from the provider.
A service provider that is breaching regulations would get a ‘not all regulations met’ rating, in which the CQC would expect the provider to make a change.
