Seething Celtic fans are demanding answers from club supremos after the Parkhead club’s missed shots in the transfer market.

And principal shareholder Dermot Desmond has come out swinging – on the fairways alongside global superstar Rory McIlroy.

Raging Hoops supporters worldwide have penned an open letter to the hierarchy calling for accountability and transparency in the wake of another chaotic summer.

Diehards have accused the board of sending Brendan Rodgers’ side into the £40million Champions League play-offs underprepared – resulting in a humiliating playoff exit to Kazakh minnows Kairat Almaty.

Celts were also left scrapping the bottom of the barrel for deadline day signings after missing out on a string of targets – including Anderlecht goal machine Kasper Dolberg.

Free agent Kelechi Iheanacho was eventually unveiled – 24 hours after the window shut – after ripping up his contract with Sevilla.

However, protesting fan groups are now calling on the club’s decision-makers to end their silence by engaging with the fanbase and explaining what went wrong.

Amidst the uproar, Irish tycoon Desmond was spotted playing golf with four-time major champion McIlroy during a Pro-AM round at The K Club ahead of the 2025 Amgen Irish Open, which starts on Thursday.

It comes after the Green Brigade and more than 100 Celtic fan groups signed off an open letter to the Parkhead board and warned: “The time for silence is over.”
