Neuroscience & Psychiatry Hub Limited (The HUB) organised a specialised seminar on Tuesday titled “The Importance of Physical Health in Psychiatric Management” at its Gulshan-1 premises.
The seminar underscored the role of integrating physical health management into psychiatric treatment to enhance recovery and improve patients’ overall quality of life.
The event brought together postgraduate trainees in psychiatry from the National Institute of Mental Health, Bangladesh Medical University, and Dhaka Medical College Hospital, along with in-house mental health professionals.

The session was led by Dr Mehtab Ghazi Rahman, Director of Clinical Services at The HUB and Medical Lead of Psychiatry at St Charles Hospital, London. He shared insights on the link between physical health and psychiatric care, stressing its significance in improving mental health outcomes.
Following the seminar, participants toured The HUB’s facilities under the guidance of Dr AKM Nazmul Islam, Head of Operations. Visitors praised the international standards maintained in safety, security, privacy, and confidentiality of patient care.
Certificates were awarded to participants by Dr Tariqul Islam, Senior Advisor at Sajida Foundation, and Dr Mortoza Hassan, Consultant at The HUB.
The HUB said the seminar reflects its continued commitment to advancing mental health practices in Bangladesh and promoting integrated approaches to psychiatric care.
