A new rumor may have just revealed the first plot details for Man of Tomorrow.

Man of Tomorrow is an upcoming film featuring David Corenswet’s Superman and Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor. James Gunn recently announced that the DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures movie will arrive in United States theaters in July 2027.

What is the new Man of Tomorrow rumor?

According to scooper Daniel Richtman, Superman and Lex Luthor will reportedly be working together in Man of Tomorrow.

This is just a rumor at this time, and should be treated as such. No official plot details for Man of Tomorrow have been revealed by anyone involved with the project.

Having said that, many DCU fans online have theorized that Lex and Superman would find themselves reluctantly joining forces in Man of Tomorrow, given the artwork Gunn shared when announcing the project sees the two characters standing side-by-side. This has led some to believe the antagonist of the villain will be Brainiac; although, again, there’s been no official word as to whether or not that’s actually the case.

So when he says it’s a semi-sequel to Superman, it’s basically a film where Lex is the co-lead and they’re fighting Brainiac together? https://t.co/AwisCMXeai

Along with Corenswet and Hoult, the cast of the movie includes Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl.

“Superman, DC Studios’ first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros.
