The society, which recently concluded its 2024-25 season, shortlisted photos in categories including Creative of the Year, Landscape of the Year, Still Life of the Year and Portrait of the Year.

All submissions were judged as projected images and were scored out of 20.

The creative of the year category was won by Carol Walker, with her collage of a lion and a dandelion, while landscape of the year category went to Tony Bennett for his shot of Yarmouth pier.

Tony also scooped up the still life of the year category with a striking composition, while Les Cutbush won the natural world of the year award with his powerful shot of an owl.

Paul Dowthwaite took home the portrait of the year award with The Three Mottoeers, featuring three motorcyclists enjoying a lunch stop.

The IWPS convenes at Arreton Community Hall or via Zoom every Wednesday from September to May.

On the last Saturday morning of each month, a hub session is held from 10am to 12pm at Quay Arts in Newport.
