GB News anchor Patrick Christys made an emotional announcement as his co-star wife Emily Carver gave birth. The pair have welcomed a son together, confirming his adorable name alongside a series of snapshots showing the pair holding their son in a baby carrier. Patrick wrote on Instagram: “George Alexander Peter Christys came into the world at 5:26am on Friday, September 5th.

“He’s a very happy, healthy, much-loved little boy. The beautiful Emily Carver was amazing throughout. Life lesson #1 George – always love and respect your mother.” In one snap taken outside St Mary’s Hospital, Emily clutched a bouquet of flowers and a neck pillow in one hand, while Patrick held onto George in his carrier.

Sweet close-up snaps showed George in a panda onesie and a hat, before the couple arrived at home, both beaming.

Emily shared a statement of her own, writing: “Welcome to the world our little tiny George Alexander Peter Christys!

“Our beautiful, healthy boy was born on the 5th September at 5.26am, weighing 6.5lbs. What a rollercoaster! We’re now out of the hospital and settling into life as parents – with the support of our wonderful families.

“Thank you for all the thoughtful messages and well wishes and to the brilliant team at St Mary’s Hospital for keeping us all safe.”

Fans rushed to comment on the sweet announcement, with one writing: “Congratulations, hurry up back to work please we all need you fighting for us!”

Another echoed: “Aww congratulations to you both! Lovely name too.” While a third posted: “Congratulations guys, how wonderful. Enjoy your life as new parents.”

Somebody else said: “Congratulations both, you deserve happiness. The nation owes you a debt of gratitude. GB News is forging a change, despite seemingly impossible resistance. Hero and heroine in my eyes and those of many. I wish you a happy and fulfilled life.”
