The work is set to start today (Saturday).
The refurbishment will include a new canopy and improved lighting.
To accommodate the work, the main entrance, drop-off and parking area will face temporary closures for scaffolding installation, crane lifts and material deliveries.
The hospital has announced that these will be closed today and tomorrow (Sunday), including overnight, and Wednesday, September 10, from 6.30am to 9am.
On October 15, the drop-off and parking area will be closed, while the main entrance remains open.
Full closure of both the drop-off/parking area and main entrance is scheduled for October 16, from 6.30am to 11.30am, and October 18 and 19, including overnight.
During the main entrance closures, visitors and staff will be re-directed to access the hospital via the Day Surgery entrance.
The hospital has advised the work schedule may be subject to last-minute changes, and any updates will be shared on the Isle of Wight NHS Trust’s social media accounts.
The facelift is expected to be complete by Monday, October 20.
