Christian Horner has made his feelings on Red Bull clear after a text was leaked following his Formula 1 sacking.
The 51-year-old who lives near Banbury was relieved of his Red Bull team principal role last month after 20 years of service.
Early in July, a statement from Red Bull GmbH read: “Red Bull has released Christian Horner from his operational duties with effect from today (Wednesday, July 9) and has appointed Laurent Mekies as CEO of Red Bull Racing.”
Mr Horner had been team principal at Red Bull since 2005, overseeing eight drivers’ world championships and six constructors’ titles.

The Formula 1 star resides in a £9.2m mansion with his wife, Geri Halliwell-Horner, on the Oxfordshire border with Northamptonshire.
Now, Mr Horner has made his feelings clear in an apparent “leaked” text shared by Martin Brundle.
The former Red Bull team boss reached out to the Sky Sports presenter during the Italian Grand Prix.

“A message from Christian Horner here, actually,” Mr Brundle said live on Sky F1.
“Saying, ‘This was our worst race last year. We had the wrong downforce level,’ and how hard the team have worked on that package and done a great job. Of course, they’ve turned it around.”
Max Verstappen’s masterclass helped claim both his and Red Bull’s first grand prix win since Imola.
The performance evidently left the departed Mr Horner impressed, with the Formula 1 star pointing out that Monza was previously Red Bull’s “worst race” in 2024, when he was in charge.
