Friday’s card at Belmont at the Big A will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $35,123 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday’s eight-race program which opened the fall meet.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $1951.30 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

Thursday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 3 with a win from Army Gal [No. 7, $8.82] in a 6 1/2-furlong New York-bred optional claimer with Dylan Davis aboard for trainer Linda Rice.

Davis doubled up as the Mitchell Friedman-conditioned Cara’s Dreamchaser [No. 5, $12.94] captured a 1 1/16-mile state-bred turf maiden, in Race 4. The next race saw Ricardo Santana, Jr. navigate Java Buzz [No. 6, $18.76] to victory in a six-furlong outer turf starter optional claimer for trainer Rudy Rodriguez, in Race 5.

In Race 6, Santana, Jr. doubled up aboard Takeschargesmiling [No. 8, $8.52] in a seven-furlong claimer for trainer Carlos David. In Race 7, a 1 1/16-mile state-bred turf optional claimer, Can’t Fool Me [No. 8, $41.60] rallied to nail the favored Gallant Greta, with Manny Franco up for conditioner Horacio De Paz.

With the carryover guaranteed heading into the Race 8 finale, a one-turn mile starter allowance, the Edward Barker-trained Fortuna Mia [No. 3, $53] prevailed with Ruben Silvera in the saddle.

Friday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 4 at approximately 2:35 p.m. Eastern. First post for the nine-race card is 1:10 p.m.
