Amanda Owen made a dig at ex-husband Clive Owen on Thursday’s episode of Lorraine.

Amanda, 51, and Clive are parents to nine children: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine, and Nancy.

The family’s beloved documentary series, Our Yorkshire Farm, concluded in 2022 after Amanda and Clive’s separation. It first aired back in 2018.

Continuing to entertain viewers, the Owens have made a comeback with the subsequent instalment of their journey in Our Farm Next Door, which follows the family’s escapades as they restore a period farmhouse situated in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales countryside.

Appearing on Thursday’s Lorraine, Amanda opened up about co-parenting with Clive where she made a dig at her ex.

Host Lorraine Kelly pointed out: “The fact that you have managed, even though you’re separated, the two of you – you and your husband – have managed to still work together, parent together, can’t have been easy but you’ve made it work!

“I’ve talked to you about this before Amanda, you have made it work and that’s a wonderful thing to have done.”

To which Amanda responded: “He was on the phone this morning, he had fried eggs in some yellow washing up liquid!

“So he was complaining that I shouldn’t buy washing up liquid in yellow! Washing up liquid should only be green!”

With Lorraine responding: “Oh I see… because he thought it was like, okay…” before bursting into giggles to which Amanda insisted: “So you see, we are up against it!

“Believe me, it’s the idea that we’re just getting on with it, there’s plenty to do, plenty of space and a heap of things always on the go. Let’s be honest, that’s reality!” with Lorraine replying: “Of course it is!”

It comes as the exes have been working together on new show Our Farm Next Door, restoring a property from the 1800s that sits in Swaledale close to Ravenseat Farm and bears the name Anty John after a previous occupant called Anthony John Clarkson.

In the final episode of the second series earlier this year, Amanda gathered the entire family to showcase the most recent progress in their continuous restoration project after 20 months of grafting.

The Yorkshire Shepherdess wanted to highlight “how far we’ve got and how far we’ve got to go” as she celebrated the milestone with her family.

Our Farm Next Door is available to watch on All 4 while Lorraine continues on weekdays at 9am on ITV and ITV X.
