Hosted by the Ellis Edwards Foundation at Ferndown Forest Golf Course, the charity event will feature an 18-hole golf tournament, live music, a BBQ, a raffle and silent auction with bespoke and unique items up for grabs on Thursday, 11 September.
The Ellis Edwards Foundation was founded by the parents of Ellis Edwards, a five-year-old boy from Bournemouth who died in 2024 after he was was diagnosed with high-risk, stage 4 Neuroblastoma in March 2019.

Carly and Eddie said: “Ellis taught us that you must continue to live life to the full, no matter what you are going through.
“He lived life with the biggest smile on his face and did everything he could to help others, even though he was going through so much himself.”
The foundation aims to ease the emotional burden of childhood bereavement by offering accessible, inclusive, and therapeutic experiences.
Through grief breaks, counselling, and community connection, the foundation helps children and their families to process loss, build resilience, and rediscover moments of joy, together.
Funds raised from the event will directly support the foundation’s initiatives, such as supporting bereaved children with days out, family trips and the opportunity to process their emotions.
The family added: “We experienced first hand, the lack of support available for parents and families once a child has sadly passed away, and that’s where the Ellis Edwards Foundation will help.
“The charity enables children to take time away from their grief, because these children need to know it’s ok to keep smiling, keep laughing and living life – just like Ellis did through his whole cancer journey.”
While the golf day is already sold out, the silent auction is open to all members of the public and closes at 3pm on September 11.
