Matt Breetzke will miss Finals Day, having had to return home to South Africa earlier in the week due to personal reasons.
The Club had hoped to get Breetzke back for Finals Day but despite both Matt’s and the Club’s best efforts, this has not been possible.
Head Coach Darren Lehmann wished Breetzke all the best.
“We’ve had some bad news today about Breetzke. We were hoping to get him back, but he misses out due to personal and family reasons,” Lehmann said.
“We wish him and his family all the best , everyone’s health and well being is the most important thing,” he added.
Breetzke will return to Wantage Road next year as part of his recently announced all formats deal and everyone at the Club is looking forward to seeing him back in a Northamptonshire shirt.
Overseas duo Tim Robinson and Lloyd Pope are both available and ready for selection.
