Robert Plant, of Led Zeppelin, has announced that he will be playing a gig in York later this year with his band Saving Grace featuring Suzi Dian.

This is as part of a 10 date UK tour which will take the band around the country – kicking off December 8 at the Portsmouth Guildhall and finishing December 23 at The Barbican.

The tour follows the release of their new album, Saving Grace, which is set to be released September 26 on Nonesuch Records.

Robert calls this 10 track collection “a song book of the lost and found”. It features his new band: vocalist Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley and cellist Barney Morse-Brown.

A spokesperson said: “They have spent the last six years growing into a wide-ranging workshop of styles and personalities, weaving through time and circumstance with joy and abandon.”

Tickets for the York Barbican date go on sale Thursday September 18th at 10am BST from https://www.yorkbarbican.co.uk/whats-on/robert-plant with presale available to those who have preordered the album from the official store by Monday (September 15) at midday.
