Linda Evangelista kicked off New York Fashion Week at the Kering Foundation’s Fourth Annual Caring for Women Dinner with a special guest in tow: Valentina Pinault. The 17-year-old is the daughter of Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault, who is Evangelista’s ex-boyfriend. The former couple briefly dated from 2005-2006.

The duo posed for photographers in coordinated evening wear. While Evangelista embraced androgyny in a black suit, Valentina donned a semi-sheer long-sleeve dress that sparkled in the spotlight.
Back in 2006, Pinault coupled up with Hayek in the months following his breakup from Evangelista. She gave birth to their daughter Valentina in 2007. He and Evangelista also share son Augustin, who was born after the couple parted ways in 2006.
“I had my child so late in life,” Hayek, who was 41 at the time, later told People. “I thought I wasn’t going to be able to and it was such an important thing to me.”

Finally, the blended family also includes Pinault’s two children from his marriage to Dorothée Lepère: son François and daughter Mathilde. The group are famously simpatico and frequently spend time together. Earlier this year, for example, Hayek and Pinault joined Evangelista to celebrated her son’s graduation from college.

Stepmom Hayek was gushing with pride in an Instagram post from the big day.
“Augie!!! We are so PROUD 🥹 of you,” the House of Gucci actress wrote. “Congratulations for becoming the extraordinary young man that you are and managing to still be our lovely boy and congratulations to Linda, Francois and all the parents who got our babies up to this point.”
