'Finish Him': Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection Launches 30th October on PS5, PS4 1Image: Push Square

Eagerly anticipated retro fighting game archive Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection will “get over here” on 30th October, publisher Atari has announced.

It’s worth noting that if you want to own this compilation physically, the Blu-ray release won’t arrive until 12th December, so you’ll need to sit tight a little longer.

As previously announced, this collection includes practically every Mortal Kombat game up to the PS2 era, with the Dreamcast’s Mortal Kombat Gold being the only real notable omission.

It also packs in online play with rollback netcode, an interactive documentary, and a complete history of the franchise – including character lore, timelines, and much more.

The full, final list of games included is as follows:

Mortal Kombat – 1992: Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, Game Gear
Mortal Kombat II – 1993: Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, 32X
Mortal Kombat 3 – 1995: Arcade, SNES, Genesis
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 – 1995: Arcade, WaveNet, SNES
Mortal Kombat Trilogy – 1996: PS1
Mortal Kombat 4 – 1997: Arcade
Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero – 1997: PS1
Mortal Kombat: Special Forces – 2000: PS1
Mortal Kombat Advance – 2001: Game Boy Advance
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance – 2002: Game Boy Advance
Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition – 2003: Game Boy Advance

With Atari 50 developer Digital Eclipse making this, you can be fairly confident about the quality of the emulation and the sheer wealth of supporting materials.
