According to a new report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select (lots more details there – you should subscribe), Andrade is gone from WWE. The news comes less than a year after his return to the company. “Andrade is gone from WWE, Fightful Select has confirmed,” Sapp tweeted, crediting user @WrestleMobs for first noticing that Andrade’s profile had been moved to the alumni section of the official WWE website.

Andrade’s second tenure with the company has been viewed by many fans as lackluster. He officially returned to WWE as a surprise entrant in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match, just weeks after his contract with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) had expired. He was subsequently assigned to the Raw brand, where he stated his goal was to win a world championship.

His run on Monday Night Raw began with a series of victories against superstars like Apollo Crews and Giovanni Vinci. He was then drafted to the SmackDown brand in the 2024 WWE Draft. On SmackDown, he became involved in a storyline with Legado Del Fantasma, teasing a reunion with his former manager, Zelina Vega.

The storyline saw him align with Vega and the LWO against Santos Escobar’s new Legado Del Fantasma faction, which also included Elektra Lopez, Angel, and Humberto. This led to a series of multi-person tag team matches, but the storyline did not result in a significant singles program or championship opportunity for Andrade.

His last major match was at the Clash in Paris premium live event, where he was on the losing end of a Six-Man Tag Team match. This latest run is in stark contrast to his first tenure with the company, where he was a celebrated NXT Champion and later a United States Champion on the main roster. His departure in 2021 was at his own request, after which he spent several years with AEW before his 2024 return.
