Take That have sent fans into meltdown with a direct message that they are back together writing new music, and talking about touring again.

An email from the band was sent to fans who have signed up to their database on Saturday morning with the tantalising message: “See you out there.”

In it, the band shared a new picture showing Howard Donald, Gary Barlow and Mark Owen in London together looking relaxed and happy in each other’s company.

The message, signed off by “Take That“, said: “We have talked a lot about touring” before adding that “big decisions” have been made this week.

It has been enough to send Take That’s dedicated fan base into a frenzy, with many already saying “we’ve got the credit cards ready”, while one fan added: “When I get emails like that my bank account cries.”

Fan sites are already speculating on possible dates for a tour in 2026, with many thinking a major residency at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena could be on the cards, as well as stadium dates across the UK.

The fact the email was also signed as “Take That” rather than the current trio of Gary, Mark and Howard has also led some to speculate if the tour may involve departed members Robbie Williams and Jason Orange.

The band last performed together as a trio on their This Life tour, which included two nights at Manchester’s Co-op Live as well as five shows at the city’s AO Arena in 2024.

The email from the band landed in fans’ inboxes on Saturday morning, with the title “It’s been a while, how are you doing?”

It read: “We’re excited to say we’ve been spending some time together these last few days, hanging out, checking in on each other, talking about the band a lot, families, good movies to watch, books to read, etc, etc.

“Playing songs we have been working on and writing, listening to artists new and old.

“We have been enjoying basically catching up on life, where we are going, what we are doing, reflecting, dreaming. What next?”

Then came the news fans had been longing for.

They said: “We have talked a lot about touring and how much we enjoyed This Life on tour, making the record, the places we visited far and wide. It really was special and we are so grateful to everyone who tuned in, came along and made that experience so special.”

It went on: “Have we made any big decisions this week? Yes. Do we have a plan? Yes. Do we know what we are doing?! Most of the time…”

It signed off by saying: “Lots to come, lots to do, lots of love”, and the promise: “See you out there.”

Fans are now on standby for a major tour annoucement, with many taking to social media to say how excited they are about what’s to come. There is already speculation that an announcement is being planned for Friday, September 19, amid an appearance on BBC’s The One Show this week.

On X, fan @LittleMeThatter wrote: “Love how this was so unexpected. Made my week this new pic of Take That. Really excited to see what you have planned for us.”

Helen Biganski wrote: “When I see pictures like this and get emails like that, my bank account cries.” While Helen Andrew added: “Oh they look so good! Welcome back lads.”
