In the eyes of many, Novak Djokovic is the greatest tennis player of all time, having shattered a multitude of records in the sport during his ongoing 22-year-long career.

The Serb has clinched the joint-most Grand Slam titles of any man or woman in history, currently tied with Australian legend Margaret Court on 24.

Since turning professional in 2003, Djokovic has managed to secure a winning record against both his legendary rivals, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

He tallied 31 victories and 29 losses against the Spaniard and finished his head-to-head with the Swiss star in the lead, by 27-23.

Though Djokovic has a winning record against almost everyone he has ever come up against, there are a handful of players who have emerged victorious against the 38-year-old more often than not.

Ivo Karlovic and Nick Kyrgios are among the names with a winning record against him, while Jannik Sinner is the latest to get his nose in front of the great man.

Perhaps the most bizarre head-to-head score in recent history, however, was achieved by 32-year-old Jiri Vesely, an active player who currently leads Djokovic 2-0 at tour-level events.

Vesely, ranked 627th in the world at the moment, first met the 24-time major champion at the Monte-Carlo Masters in 2016.

On the clay courts at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament, the Czech star came through in three sets to knock Djokovic out in the round of 32.

They were scheduled to meet again in the second round of the US Open later that season, but Vesely withdrew due to injury before the match.

Their second, and most recent clash was played three years ago at the 2022 Dubai Tennis Championships, with a place in the semifinals up for grabs.

Vesely claimed an even more convincing victory over Djokovic in Dubai, coming through a tiebreak to best him in straight sets.

Despite remaining unbeaten against one of, if not the greatest players in history, he has only reached a career high of 35, and has never advanced past the fourth round of a Grand Slam.

Though the likes of Dan Evans and Taro Daniel have 1-0 records against Djokovic, Vesely is one of three players to have never lost against him in multiple bouts.

Marat Safin was the first to boast the feat, albeit earlier in the legend’s career, overcoming him at the Australian Open in 2005, and Wimbledon in 2008.

In more recent times, Alejandro Tabilo joined the exclusive club, winning against Djokovic at the Italian Open in 2024 and the Monte-Carlo Masters in 2025.

Andy Roddick and Fernando Gonzalez make up the other notable names with a positive record against him.
