Mawaan Rizwan’s hit BBC comedy is back for its second run later this week, continuing the adventures of the comedian’s attention-seeking character Jamma.

Russell Tovey is also back as now ex-boyfriend Guy, and the new episodes find Jamma in the “perfect storm” of being “jobless, sofa-surfing and single”.

However, he comes across a mysterious stranger, who offers to help him get rid of his clownish ways in order to win Guy back, and Jamma “must decide if the risk is worth the reward”.

Juice returns on 18 September on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer at 9pm.

Get your sequins on and your paddles at the ready, for Strictly season officially begins this week with the pre-recorded launch episode, where the celebrities learn who their all-important dance partners will be.

Hoping to impress the judges to lift the Glitterball Trophy for this year are the likes of EastEnders’ Balvinder Sopal, reality stars Dani Dyer and Vicky Pattison, and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’s La Voix, among many others.

There is also a big change this year with premium-rate phone voting being scrapped for online voting only, while head judge Shirley Ballas has teased some further “minute” alterations too.

Strictly Come Dancing returns on 20 September on BBC One.

A new group of singletons looking for love have arrived as a new season of Married at First Sight UK launches this week.

In case you haven’t caught up on the series, MAFS sees individuals matched together and introduced for the first time at the altar. They then live together for a time before making a final decision on whether to continue the relationship.

Experts Paul C Brunson, Melanie Schilling and Charlene Douglas are back to guide the couples, but it being MAFS, expect plenty of drama along the way. Ahead of the season premiere next Sunday, you can get up to speed with the list of hopefuls taking part this season.

Married at First Sight UK returns on 21 September on E4.

Apple TV+’s Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon-starring series about life on a network broadcast morning news show returns for its fourth season this week.

The series moves events to spring 2024 in the wake of the UBA-NBN merger as the newsroom grapples with “newfound responsibility, hidden motives and the elusive nature of truth in a polarized America”, with questions over who can be trusted in a world littered with deepfakes, conspiracies and cover-ups.

New cast additions for season 4 include Oscar-winners Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons, as well as Aaron Pierre, William Jackson Harper and Boyd Holbrook.

The Morning Show returns on 17 September on Apple TV+.

Also returning for a new season is Prime Video‘s The Boys spin-off Gen V, which follows a new generation of supes at the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting as they vie to join The Seven.

Season 2 takes place after the events of The Boys season 4, with the US adjusting to Homelander’s reign, while the new Dean at Godolkin “preaches a course to make students more powerful than ever”.

While Cate and Sam are heroes, Marie, Jordan, and Emma are back in class after enduring months of trauma, while war is on the horizon for Humans and Supes, as the crew discover a secret 1960s programme that may have relevance to today – with Marie connected to it.

Gen V returns on 17 September on Prime Video.

This new Netflix miniseries stars Jude Law and Jason Bateman as brothers whose unbreakable bond threatens to shatter everything.

Black Rabbit focuses on Jake Friedkin (Law), who owns the titular restaurant and VIP lounge that is on the cusp of becoming the hottest spot in New York.

However, when brother Vince (Bateman) reemerges, trouble surfaces, as old traumas and new dangers follow him and threaten to bring everything down that they’ve built. Expect a “propulsive thrill ride”.

Black Rabbit premiers on 18 September on Netflix.
