Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains won’t be returning for a seventh series anytime soon on Comedy Central UK, TV Zone understands.
The show, which usually airs each Autumn, sees a trio of famous faces join host Gilbert to roll back the clock, reveal hilarious stories from their youths and compete to see who had the most traumatic teens in a bid to see who will be crowned the most embarrassing teenager.
Last series, celebrity guests included Dara O’Briain, Layton Williams, Susie Dent, Emily Atack, Sam Campbell, Trevor Nelson, Al Murray, Vogue Williams, Kyrah Gray, Lucy Beaumont, Rickie Haywood Williams, Lara Ricote, David O’Doherty, Judy Murray, Sukh Kaur Ojla, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Janine Harouni and Ignacio Lopez.
Meanwhile, Comedy Central recently launched new comedy entertainment show Iain Stirling’s Roast The Internet. Across the eight episode series, celebrity guests will take aim at their biggest online pet peeves – from deeply questionable wellness trend to conspiracy theories that make flat earthers seem almost logical.
Also coming soon is Jimmy Carr’s new show Am I The A**hole?, based on one of Reddit’s favourite subreddits, with 24 million people worldwide in the online community. The show will invite members of the public to come before team captains GK Barry and Jamali Maddix, and a panel of two other comedians to ask their hilarious, controversial, and downright shocking ‘Am I the A**hole?’ questions.
These questions will cover everything from jaw-dropping relationship disputes to the pettiest of family squabbles and stories of behaviours that are guaranteed to split opinion. With Jimmy having the final say, each potential a**hole will leave knowing once and for all whether or not they are ‘The A**hole
