Official news on the future of George Hincapie’s Modern Adventure team is expected later this week, with the former pro confident that all the relevant paperwork for the team’s inaugural season has been submitted to the UCI for license approval.

Modern Adventure aim to race as a ProTeam in 2026, and Hincapie has told us that 21 riders have now been offered letters of intent for next season. Full contracts will be provided to the athletes as soon as the team has had their paperwork ratified by the sport’s governing body.

We can confirm that the team are set to sign Riley Pickrell from Israel-Premier Tech, with the Canadian expected to be the team’s leading sprinter next season. The 24-year-old won a stage in the Tour de l’Avenir in 2023. He also took a stage at the Sibiu Cycling Tour earlier this year, but with many sprinters in the IPT team and Biniam Girmay linked with a move there, the Canadian has slipped down the pecking order.
