As previously reported, a new six-hole golf course and driving range facility has been proposed to be created on land at Down Grange.

It comes after  Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council reached a conditional agreement with Great Wolf Resorts to build an indoor water park resort on the land at the current pitch and putt at Basingstoke Golf Centre next to the Leisure Park in 2024.

The council reviewed land in its ownership that would provide enough space to re-locate the facilities currently on offer at Basingstoke Golf Centre, and Down Grange was designated the most suitable site.

Now, new computer-generated images (CGI) of how this might look if it were to go ahead, have been revealed.

The images were officially unveiled at a public meeting at St Mark’s Church, Homesteads Road, on a rainy Wednesday afternoon, September 10.

The meeting gave residents the opportunity to speak with councillors and voice their concerns about proposals to build a new six-hole golf course and pod-style driving range on land at Down Grange.
