All three cinematographers for Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2 have been revealed, including one involved with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The respective episodes that they are involved with have also been revealed.
New IMDb listings (hat tip r/StarWarsLeaks) have revealed that Eric Steelberg (500 Days of Summer, Ghostbusters: Afterlife), Stephan Pehrsson (Wednesday, Black Mirror), and Barry Baz Idoine (American Sniper, True Detective) were hired to tackle the eight episodes of Ahsoka Season 2. Steelberg has worked on the first, fourth, and fifth episodes, Pehrsson has worked on the second, third, and sixth episodes, and Idoine has worked on the seventh and eighth episodes.
Steelberg and Idoine are both Star Wars alumni, with the former working on five episodes of Ahsoka Season 1 and the latter working as the Director of Photography on Rogue One‘s second unit and two episodes of The Mandalorian Season 1. Pehrsson, meanwhile, is new to the galaxy far, far away. This news follows the recent reveal that the season’s directors include Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jennifer Getzinger, and Anders Engström, with current indications suggesting that the four directors split the work on the eight-episode season evenly by tackling two episodes apiece.
Filming for the series is ongoing after production began on April 28, 2025, with actors Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Eman Esfandi, Hayden Christensen, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lars Mikkelsen, David Tennant, and Ivanna Sakhno confirmed to reprise their roles from the first season, with Steve Blum returning as the voice of Zeb Orrelios from Star Wars Rebels and The Mandalorian, and Rory McCann confirmed to take over for the late Ray Stevenson in the role of Baylan Skoll.
All episodes of Ahsoka Season 1 are available to view on Disney Plus right now, with Season 2 expected to debut sometime next year. The series is produced by Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, Jon Favreau, John Bartnicki, and Carrie Beck, with Filoni writing all episodes of the first and second seasons of the series.
