The Brindley theatre will host Status Quo’s Francis Rossi for an evening of the band’s hits, his own songs and stories from his incredible life in music, all cut through with wit and humour.

The show’s novel format will feature live music, from Status Quo signatures to personal favourites and deeper cuts, alongside accounts of misadventures across the world, life with Rick Parfitt, and fellow stars.

Being staged on Monday, November 3, it promises backstage tales of appearing over a hundred times on Top of the Pops and why the band went on first at Live Aid.

“Think you know Francis? Not yet you don’t. The story starts with Pictures of Matchstick Men but continues right up to present day,” a spokesman said.

Francis will mostly be playing his Acoustasonic guitar which, as he says, ‘is basically a Telecaster but more compatible with a show of this nature – it still has the ring and sound of a Tele’.

Limited VIP tickets available at the show offer fans the opportunity to attend a pre-show meet-and-greet event, photographs and item signing with Francis, the best seats in the house, and exclusive tour merchandise.
