A fan-favorite Thunderbolts* character reportedly won’t be showing up in Avengers: Doomsday.

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday is currently in production. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, the film currently has a 2026 release date. The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, then follows in 2027.

Which Thunderbolts* character reportedly won’t be in Avengers: Doomsday?

It has been confirmed that a number of Thunderbolts* characters will appear in Avengers: Doomsday, including Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Wyatt Russell’s John Walker/U.S. Agent, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, Lewis Pullman’s Bob Reynolds/Sentry, David Harbour’s Alexei Shostakov, and Hannah John-Kamen’s Ava Starr/Ghost.

According to scooper Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus, however, one Thunderbolts* character that MCU fans shouldn’t expect to see in Avengers: Doomsday is Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.

“Not that I’m aware of,” Perez said when asked if Valentina will be in the forthcoming blockbuster epic. “To my understanding, she went back into the shadows while the New Avengerz were occupied.”

Valentina made her official MCU debut in 2021’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Following a brief cameo in 2021’s Black Widow, she also had a role in 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Which Marvel project she’ll show up in next has not been officially announced by the studio.

The cast of Avengers: Doomsday also includes Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Letitia Wright as Black Panther, Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Channing Tatum as Gambit, and more.

Thunderbolts* is currently available to stream on Disney+. Avengers: Doomsday, meanwhile, arrives on December 18, 2026, while Avengers: Secret Wars has been given a December 17, 2027, release date.
