As John Sugden continues to try and manipulate the truth, viewers noticed a glimmer of hope

Emmerdale viewers were quick to notice a sign that John Sugden’s reign of terror could be nearing its end in upcoming episodes.
Over the last few weeks, John Sugden has been trying his best to hide his growing list of harrowing crimes, but it’s becoming harder for him to conceal his secrets.
Arriving in the village last year, the ex-Army medic struck up a relationship with Aaron Dingle, but their seemingly perfect relationship has been covering a multitude of sins.
Viewers will recall that John accidentally murdered Nate Robinson after attempting to “save” him, all thanks to his hero complex that has seen him put multiple lives at risk.
Convinced he’d gotten away with it, he pinned the blame on Owen in a suicide note and continued to live his life. However, Mackenzie Boyd found a link and was then held captive by John following a nerve-wracking chase through the woods.
Hidden in an underground bunker just moments away from John’s childhood cottage, Aaron Dingle eventually found Mack’s phone after working out that John had been drugging him.
Running through the woods to find his best friend, Aaron ended up at the edge of the gorge and was instead met by John. As the latter confessed all of his crimes to his husband, Robert Sugden showed up and John’s jealousy tripled.
Telling Aaron that if he can’t have him then no one can, he called the police to frame Robert before throwing himself and Aaron over the cliff edge.
In hospital, Aaron was put in an induced coma and when John awoke from his less severe injuries, he has been determined to keep Aaron silent.
All this time, Robert has been alienated by everyone including Victoria Sugden as he’s been arrested for a crime he didn’t commit.
During Tuesday’s (September 16) episode, Victoria paid a visit to Robert who begged her to believe him and that John is dangerous, pleading with her to keep him away from Aaron.

As she returned to the hospital, she was met with news that they will attempt to wake Aaron up from his coma tomorrow, and she side-eyed John to try and judge his reaction.
With John desperate for Aaron to stay quiet, will the truth about Nate and Mackenzie finally come out?
Viewers noticed Victoria’s change of heart, and agreed that this could be the beginning of the end for John Sugden. On a Reddit thread, u/environmental-tea-48 wrote: “I’m also surprised that Vic actually seems to have taken in at least some of what Robert said. I doubt she’ll confront John or openly share her concerns, but I do think she’ll keep a closer eye on him, especially around Aaron.”
u/emily-67 added: “Come on Vic!! You’ve known Robert your whole life, and I think she could tell he wasn’t lying to her. That seed of doubt has definitely been planted and John’s exuberance when it came to Aaron not improving/getting worse compared to his face when they were told Aaron is being brought out of the coma was so bleeding obvious!”
Another viewer, u/maybeiwasan******e echoed: “Seemed like it was Robert talking about Aaron that finally got through to her.
“Everyone knows just how much Robert loves Aaron and he would do anything for him. He was willing to die in that car for gods sake! Even if Aaron just somehow got in the way, Robert would be beyond himself with guilt.”
