Netflix has finally confirmed the release date of The Witcher Season 4 as October 30, 2025 and officially kicked off its promo season. The new season will see Liam Hemsworth make his debut as Geralt of Rivia, replacing Henry Cavill. As usual, we’re here to provide updates on the final two season and today we have some castings on what will eventually become the Lodge of Sorceresses.

We’ve learned that The Witcher has added several new sorceresses for Yennefer’s storyline with a cast of various characters that eventually will become the Lodge of Sorcresesses. What we’ll see in most of Season 4 is not the Lodge just yet, but we’ll see its actual formation later.

Veteran actress Su Douglas (Fireman Sam, Coronation Street) has been cast as Assire var Anahid, a sorceress from Vicovaro and the grand-aunt of Cahir.

Joelle Rae (The Larkins, Get Even) has been cast as the elven sorceress Ida Emean aep Syvney. In the books, she’s brought in to the Lodge by her friend Francesca Findabair. In fact, we’ve already seen a small glimpse of Rae in a promotional still standing there alongside the newly recast Vesemir. What’s he doing there, one might ask? We’ll talk about that another time.

Then there is actress and creature performer Luisa Guierreiro (Toxic Avenger, Baldur’s Gate 3). Guierreiro plays a dwarven sorceress called Ximer, who also wields a warhammer. Ximer is one of the original characters who help Yennefer in her current objective this season. We don’t know if she’ll become a member or the Lodge or not.

What about Sheala de Tancarville? We haven’t heard of her and there’s a chance she’s not included in Season 4. Perhaps she’ll be in Season 5? Speaking of those who don’t appear, Michalina Olszanska, who played Marti Sodergren, isn’t returning to Season 4 or Season 5 of The Witcher.

The Witcher Season 4 is in post-production for a 2025 release. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book Crossroads of Ravens is available in Poland and will be released internationally in September 2025. CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 4 is now in full production.
