The fly-tipping happened on Sweethaws Lane, near to Crowborough Beacon Golf Club.
It was highlighted by Brighter Crowborough, a community volunteer litter-picking group.
The group posted about the fly-tip on Facebook on September 16, describing it as “particularly nasty”.
Group member David Collumbell said the fly-tip was made up of vehicle components, such as bumpers and dashboards.

David believes the dumped car parts may be the result of ‘banger racing’.
Banger racing is a full-contact motorsport where drivers race old, derelict cars on an oval or figure-eight track, while intentionally damaging their opponents’ vehicles.
“Considering what is there, it is suspected that these type of items would be removed for banger racing,” David said.

Crowborough Beacon Golf Club reported the fly-tip to Wealden District Council.
A spokesperson for the council said: “We visited to assess the waste and reported it to Sussex Police due to the presence of the large number of vehicle parts.
“We were in touch with the landowner who was aware of their responsibility to clear the waste.”
Brighter Crowborough was started in February 2016, dedicated to keeping their town “clean, green and litter free.”
David says the group has volunteers out and about most days, picking up around 1000 bags of rubbish a year.
They also clean road safety and information signs, tidying up over 1000 signs this year alone.
A sister group, Brighter Ashdown Forest, was set up in 2021 and performs a similar role.
Both groups can be contacted via their Facebook pages.
