As we learned earlier this summer, original Shape actor Nick Castle is back as Michael Myers in Halloween: The Game, an official video game based on John Carpenter’s horror classic that’s headed our way next year from Illfonic. What that means is that Castle did motion capture work for the game’s Michael Myers, and we’ve got a new peek behind the scenes today.

The photo comes courtesy of Halloween: The Game‘s official website, which ran a piece this week that reveals that Castle is working alongside stuntman/actor TJ Storm to bring Michael Myers to life in the video game world. Castle and Storm are sharing the mo-cap duties.

Nick Castle tells the website, “It did make me go watch the movie again to see just what the hell I did that contributes to the success of the character.” TJ Storm adds, “The folks creating the game wanted the character to be as authentic as possible and I did my best to capture the original movements. It was fun to do and I had a great time with the team.”

Halloween: The Game will invite players to step into the chilling world of John Carpenter’s genre-defining film, now transformed into a suspenseful one-versus-many stealth horror experience. Put on the iconic mask to become the ultimate slasher, Michael Myers, stalking and executing the citizens of Haddonfield one by one, or striving to thwart Michael Myers’ plans as Civilians determined to save the unaware townsfolk before it’s too late.

The video game will feature online multiplayer, offline bots, and a single-player story mode!

Halloween: The Game will unleash Michael Myers onto Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in 2026. Here’s everything you need to know.
