Only a few days after the release of No, I’m not a Human, publisher CRITICAL REFLEX has announced the release of Housefire’s new “psyche-melting” horror experience, Eclipsium. The game with its chunky aesthetics is available on Steam for $12.99, with a 10% launch discount.
“The journey to release was both exciting and terrifying, and getting there is even more so,” says Housefire. “Eclipsium came a long way since its inception as a little GMTK Game Jam title, and we are beyond grateful for all the support from everyone’s been around since way back then!”
In Eclipsium, you’re surrounded by a ravenous, all-encompassing darkness. The world – and its comforting, digestible norms – is being torn apart. Now, all that remains is Her. She emits a curious, pale light. It’s your only way forward. Your last ember of humanity needs you. Hopefully, the horrors you’ll encounter will be worth it in the end.
Eclipsium drops you into a nightmare-fueled world featuring a rich story that drips with surreal body horror and emotional weight. You’ll venture through a variety of unique locations, handcrafted with a lo-fi, dreamlike, “eye-bursting” art style that’s “unlike anything you’re prepared for”. The entire experience is brought to life with an original score of over 20 intense, custom-written tracks.
