Manchester United loanee Andre Onana was sent out on loan to Turkish club Trabzonspor.
After the deadline day signing of Senne Lammens, it was clear that Andre Onana was surplus to requirements at Manchester United.
Onana had already dropped down to second choice, and was subsequently demoted to third. And that was not a scenario Onana was comfortable with.
United and Onana hastily arranged a loan move to Turkish club Trabzonspor, where Onana will spend the rest of the season.

Andre Onana joined Manchester United in summer 2023 as Erik ten Hag’s chosen replacement for goalkeeper David de Gea.
Onana’s spell at United got off to a poor start, where he made several errors that contributed to United being eliminated from the Champions League group stages.
The Cameroon international made numerous mistakes during his time at United that led TO him losing the trust of Amorim, and the fans.
The final straw was the elimination by Grimsby in the Carabao Cup, after which United stepped up interest in Lammens.
Speaking at a press conference in Turkey, Onana spoke about his spell at Manchester United, and took no responsibility for the team’s poor form last season.
Onana instead said United’s demise has been a collective problem, where all the players were responsible.
He told CNN Turkey: “We don’t play individual sports. You experience both wins and losses together.
“You might not see certain details in victories, but those details come to the fore in losses.”
He added that he wishes the best for United in his absence, commenting: “I love the Manchester fans and have a good relationship with them. I wish them success.”
Onana looking towards new start in Turkey
Onana played well in a 1-0 loss to Fenerbahce on his debut. He is glad to be back playing, while making no promises about the season ahead.
“We will compete here, sometimes we will lose, sometimes we will win. I want to have a good season and be successful”.
“I consider myself a modern player. I try to adapt to the team’s needs,” he added.
Onana and Trabzonspor are in action against Gaziantep on September 20.
