December comic solicitations are here, and it looks like Star Wars’ offerings will be something to mark on the calendar. A few series finales, the return of the Bad Batch, Kylo Ren putting on the mask of his grandfather, a new Young Jedi Adventures story, the Jedi Order unites, Unkar Plutt captures Han Solo, and much more.

On another note, this is now the second month without a solicit for a new issue of Doctor Aphra: Chaos Agent. Issue #4 will be released next week, September 24, with issue #5 following at the end of October. By all accounts, the series could have been quietly canceled due to low sales or some other reason. What’s also realistic is that writer Cherish Chen was allowed some leave to welcome a new arrival in the family. For Aphra fans, there is reason for concern, but no reason to panic just yet.

Before we go further, here are a few recent things in the galaxy of Star Wars comics you may have missed:

Star Wars on Webtoon debuted earlier this month, and the format change turned out to be a pleasant surprise. However, this bizarre new age of digital comics took another turn when Disney and Webtoon announced the launch of a new app, housing over 35,000 Marvel, Star Wars, Disney, and original Webtoon titles. The model is said to expand upon the existing Marvel Unlimited framework, but it is unclear whether this will be a standalone app or if it will replace Marvel Unlimited and Webtoon upon release. Furthermore, what does this mean for the physical collectors as Disney invests in the digital comic model? Stay tuned. The Art of Star Wars: A New Hope – The Manga launched its Kickstarter campaign ahead of a mid-2026 release if all goes well. Get all the details here. At the time of writing, the campaign has raised over $200,000, more than four times the original goal.Comic readers and Star Wars fans in general, add this one to your collection ASAP.
