Some Rogers customers in Mississauga, Ont. are reporting service outages this morning.
Less than an hour ago, I got home from a dentist appointment to find that my Rogers internet wasn’t working. I also tried our TV and home phone and neither of them were working. On X (Twitter), I saw another person in Mississauga report an outage, and at 11:22 a.m., I received a text message from Rogers noting it has “detected a service interruption affecting internet, TV and home phone services your area.”
The carrier notes that its technicians are working to identify the source and restore services. (For what it’s worth, there’s been heavy rain in our area, though it’s unclear if that’s the reason.) Rogers adds that standard network issues are typically resolved within four hours, although that can go up to 12 hours should fibre cuts be involved.
Interestingly, that same text message directs you to Rogers’ outage support page, which isn’t currently reporting any service disruptions.
Update: 22/09/2025 at 11:40 a.m. ET — For what it’s worth, service is at least back for me across internet, TV and home phone.
