“Chronic insomnia may be a modifiable risk factor for cognitive decline,” according to the study, which found that insomnia was linked to a 40% higher risk of cognitive impairment.

The good news: People who improved their sleep or used treatments for insomnia didn’t show the same risks. Do you want to sleep better? First try strategies like setting a consistent sleep schedule — and sticking to it — relaxation techniques like meditation, or limiting alcohol, caffeine and even screen time. [CNN]
