The parking and drop-off area outside the Greeba entrance to the hospital would be closed off with barriers in preparation for the delivery of the temporary MRI scanner on Tuesday evening, Manx Care said.

The vicinity of the mobile unit, including the current motorbike parking area, would remain restricted to “facilitate safe patient transfers to and from the unit” and ensure clear access to a hospital fire escape.

Meanwhile, a section of staff parking next to the Diabetic Centre and Oak House would be temporarily repurposed during the project.

Barriers would be put in place across that section of road to limit parking from 27 September until it becomes fully blocked off two days later.

Manx Care said between 10:00 and 12:00 BST on Wednesday and Thursday access to Noble’s Hospital through the Greeba entrance would be restricted, with people advised to use the Emergency Department entrance instead.

Pedestrian access to Noble’s Hospital and the Diabetic Centre would be maintained, Manx Care said.
