Tokyo Game Show kicks off this week, and to celebrate, Sony has organised a Tokyo Game Show 2025 sale on PS Store.

Running from now until the end of 8th October, the sale includes, as always, thousands of PS5 and PS4 games.

If you don’t have time to browse through that many discounts, we have some recommendations for you.

All games featured here have a Push Square 7/10 or higher, and are all at their lowest price points, with some games lower now than they’ve ever been previously.

Without further ado, here are our recommendations in the Tokyo Game Show 2025 sale.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon (PS5)Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon (PS5)

Publisher: Bandai Namco / Developer: FromSoftware

Release Date: 25th Aug 2023 (USA) / 25th Aug 2023 (UK/EU)

$35.99/£35.99 (-40%)

FromSoftware took a break from its uber-popular Dark Souls, Elden Ring experiences to return to a series it made before it was popular: Armored Core. This sixth mainline entry is very similar to past iterations — so there may be some whiplash for newer fans — but it remains (almost) just as good. You’ll be in and out of the action, customising your mech with new parts to make sure they perform out on the battlefields of Rubicon. It’s a consistently good experience, but don’t expect it to be quite as memorable as what FromSoftware is now known for.

Publisher: Ubisoft / Developer: Ubisoft

Release Date: 20th Mar 2025 (USA) / 20th Mar 2025 (UK/EU)

$41.99/£41.99 (-40%)

Ubisoft finally takes the fight to Japan in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Boasting dual protagonists and one of the most detailed, intricate open worlds in the entire series, Shadows is another emotionally charged tale of vengeance. The game pushes stealth-based gameplay much harder than its RPG peers, but doesn’t shy away from crunchy, counter-heavy combat in the process, offering up the best of both worlds when it comes to stab-happy action. An undeniably strong entry in the long-running franchise, capped off with endearing characters and a surprisingly nuanced story.

A wonderful recreation of the PS1 original, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is a real blast from the past. Drift boosting through beautifully rebuilt tracks in the generous Adventure mode or taking the racing online is a lot of fun. Much like the PS1 title it’s based on, this is an arcade racing game with tight controls, surprising difficulty, and lots to see and do. Despite some areas that could’ve done with modernising, this is probably just about the best kart racer on PS4.

$13.19/£11.54 (-67%)

The resurrection of a real role-playing classic, the aptly named Diablo 2: Resurrected is an expansive remaster of Blizzard’s 2000 title. While this is still very much the Diablo 2 from over two decades ago at its core, Resurrected does bring some welcome quality of life updates to the table, and the ability to jump between the original and revamped visual styles is a nice feature. All in all, the gameplay’s a bit wonky by today’s standards, but that old school atmosphere is hard to beat.

Publisher: Square Enix / Developer: Mistwalker

Release Date: 5th Dec 2024 (USA) / 5th Dec 2024 (UK/EU)

$29.99/£29.99 (-40%)

Fantasian Neo Dimension evokes memories of classic Final Fantasy. It’s got an impeccable soundtrack, beautiful locales, and a world that inspires wonder. But it’s let down a little by likeable but fiercely archetypal characters and a by-the-numbers story, and it’s let down a lot by wild and uneven difficulty spikes that make combat a source of constant frustration in the second half of the adventure. Even with its flaws, however, there are few RPGs quite like this one — genre fans will want to give this a look.
