Viewers tuning into Emmerdale on Thursday will see some revelations, possible exits teased and the fallout to Caleb Miligan helping John Sugden flee the country.

On Wednesday night viewers saw Caleb betray his own brother Cain Dingle by helping John escape, amid Cain plotting his deadly revenge. Cain wanted John to be captured by police amid him being on the run, wanting the villain to face up to his crimes.

John killed Cain’s son Nate Robinson amongst other crimes, and has since been in hiding – only for him to blackmail Caleb into helping him flee. John threatened to tell the police all about Anthony Fox’s murder including who was involved in his death and the cover-up.

Cain called his bluff but fearing the worst, Caleb attacked Cain to help John get away. Thursday’s episode will explore the fallout of Caleb’s actions, as some residents find out the truth about what Caleb did for missing John.

Warning, the rest of this article contains spoilers from Thursday’s episode of the ITV soap that is available on ITVX now. It will air at 7:30PM on ITV1 on Thursday evening so if you want to avoid spoilers, look away now!

We won’t give away too much about the episode so that fans can see it for themselves, and make their own minds up about what could come next. What we will reveal though is that it could pave the way for three exits from the ITV soap.

The first being John given he had fled, and it’s assumed he’s now out of the picture. Whether this was Oliver Farnworth’s final scenes on the ITV soap remains to be seen, with viewers divided.

Exit number two comes in the form of Cain, while it wouldn’t be permanent. Furious to learn John had got away, and Caleb had helped him, Cain was determined to get justice for his murdered son Nate.

He fled quickly, telling his family he was heading out of the country to find John and get justice – but will he really leave? Another exit comes in the form of an unexpected character, while nothing is confirmed.

A scene that happened towards the end of the episode saw Caleb rumbled by a resident after some pretty damning evidence. Said character made it clear to Caleb that they found something out that could lead to trouble for Caleb, with past scenes hinting he won’t back down.

We won’t see who it is or what was uncovered, but knowing Caleb he will want to cover his tracks. With it linked to John, could Caleb or even John take action to get rid of the person who is on to them?
