The Scout is tipping four players for big success in Gameweek 6 of 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League ahead of Saturday’s 11:00 BST deadline, to help managers gain an edge over their mini-league rivals.
Jeremy Doku (Manchester City) £6.4m
Erling Haaland (£14.3m) is the most-bought player of Gameweek 6 so far, with Fantasy managers rushing to acquire the Norwegian ahead of Manchester City‘s home match against Burnley.
A few other, less-championed Man City players carry plenty of appeal, too. Doku is one of them.
He has the best rate of chances created in the Man City squad this season, carving out an opportunity once every 32 minutes. Two of those resulted in assists in Gameweek 4.
Longer term, as we’ve learned from experience, there is a great deal of rotation risk attached to attacking midfielders from Pep Guardiola’s squad.
But with Omar Marmoush (£8.3m) and Rayan Cherki (£6.3m) currently sidelined, there are fewer threats to Doku’s place for the time being.
The Belgian winger started in Gameweeks 4 and 5 and the UEFA Champions League tie against Napoli in between, with Guardiola naming unchanged teams.
So, for FPL managers looking for a short-term pick, perhaps with a view to playing the Wildcard chip over the October international break, Doku fits the bill.
His next two opponents, Burnley and Brentford, rank among the four teams who have conceded the most chances from their own right flank – i.e. Doku’s wing – in 2025/26.
Bryan Mbeumo (Manchester United) £8.1m
Mbeumo has returned in only one of the first five Gameweeks, scoring for Manchester United against Burnley in late August.
But the underlying data suggests that the Cameroon international should be back among the points very soon.
Among FPL midfielders, Mbeumo is top for non-penalty Expected Goal Involvements (npxGI) this season, with 3.12. He also leads the way among players in his position for shots, with 15.
With just one goal and no assists to show for it, the summer signing from Brentford has been very unfortunate.
Up next for Mbeumo is a reunion with his former employers in west London. The Bees have the third-worst defensive record this season, conceding 10 goals across the opening five Gameweeks.
Longer term, there is plenty to look forward to: 10 of Mbeumo’s next 11 matches score three or fewer in the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR).
Michael Keane (Everton) £4.5m
James Tarkowski’s (£5.5m) ability to rack up defensive contribution points has been rightly highlighted, but for FPL managers looking for a cheaper route into Everton‘s defence, Keane stands out.
The budget-friendly centre-back has himself delivered defensive contribution points in two of his five starts so far this season.
And he also offers more goal threat than his fellow Everton centre-back.
Keane has already had four shots this campaign. Tarkowski, by contrast, has only produced one.
Despite making only 14 league appearances in 2024/25, Keane scored on three occasions. That was more than any other Everton defender managed, five of whom had played significantly more minutes.
Keane’s set-piece threat is all the more relevant this weekend. Everton’s opponents West Ham United have conceded seven goals from dead-ball situations this season, the most in the competition.
Richarlison (Tottenham Hotspur) £6.7m
Much like Doku, Richarlison’s rotation risk increases in the medium term. Dominic Solanke (£7.2m) and Randal Kolo Muani (£7.0m) should both be back from injury soon, which heightens the chance of the Brazilian getting reduced minutes.
As a short-term investment, however, Richarlison is one of the standout forwards of Gameweeks 6 and 7.
He’s delivered at least one attacking return in three of his four starts this season, while Haaland is the only forward who can better Richarlison’s total of 13 shots in the box.
The Tottenham Hotspur forward is also the leading the way for penalty-box touches in his position, with 32.
Both of Spurs’ next two matches score two in the FDR, with the first of those matches against a Wolverhampton Wanderers side that have yet to keep a Premier League clean sheet in 2025/26.
