The Women’s Cancer Awareness event will be led by Bradford Teaching Hospitals’ gynaecology and breast cancer nurse specialists and screening teams.
They are joining forces with the Islam Bradford Centre Sisters’ group and Muslim cancer charity, Safeena.
It will take place at the Islam Bradford Centre on October 12 after Dhuhr at 1.30pm.
Speakers will discuss elements of staying well, self-care, screening and support when affected by cancer.
Nicola Edwards, Personalised Care Cancer Lead at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said: “It’s vital that women in Bradford are aware of the risks and signs of gynaecological and breast cancers.
“Early detection through screening and self-care can save lives.
“Our cancer nursing and screening programme teams within the Trust are delighted to have had the opportunity to work together with the Islam Bradford Centre and our local community to offer this event for women which will raise awareness and make important health information accessible to all.”
There will also be the opportunity for women to talk to healthcare teams.
There is no need to register for the event.
