Henry Dwyer is hoping Asfoora can create history on Sunday when she bids to become the first horse trained in Australia to win in France in the Longines Prix de l’Abbaye.Â
Preparing for her fifth run of the campaign in Europe, Asfoora has already triumphed at Group 1 level this season when landing the Nunthorpe at York and Dwyer is bullish about another good run with conditions looking likely to be in her favour at Longchamp.Â
“She bounced through her trip to Ireland and didn’t take any ill effects whatsoever,” said Dwyer. “She’s been as good as she can be so we thought we’d roll the dice again and go to France.”
