Services through Gatwick Airport will be majorly disrupted until around 3pm after “multiple incidents across the network”, National Rail has said.

A spokesperson added: “A person has been hit by a train between Luton and St Albans City and also in the Gatwick Airport area. Whilst the emergency services attend to both incidents, trains running between Luton and London St Pancras International and through Gatwick Airport may be severely delayed by up to 100 minutes, cancelled or revised.”

South Rail also confirmed that someone was “hit by a train between Haywards Heath and Gatwick Airport“.

“All lines are blocked between these stations whilst the emergency services work to deal with this incident,” a spokesperson said.
