Amazfit is rolling out a new update to the T-Rex 3 smartwatch, version 3.10.4.1. This wearable was last updated in July with software version 3.9.4.4, which brought a HYROX Training workout and a Zoom feature.
Now, software version 3.10.4.1 is bringing three new running metrics to the T-Rex 3. These are ground contact time, vertical movement (or vertical oscillation), and vertical ratio. Each metric is designed to help users understand how efficient their running style is. They are available for activities like Outdoor Running, Treadmill and Track Running, with the setting found under the activity when you go to Settings > More > Data Pages > Edit Data > Step Class.
The release also brings support for map view and route navigation for more activities, like Outdoor Skating, Sailing, and Rowing. The barometric elevation calculator is said to offer improved accuracy, particularly for daily activities. There are two new keyboard layout options, QWERTZ and AZERTY. Plus, the ABC keyboard has gained special characters used in the following languages: Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese. On top of this, there is said to be a range of bug fixes, though these are not listed.
Software version 3.10.4.1 is rolling out to users of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch in phases via the Zepp app. It does not appear to be the Zepp OS 5.0 update that users are expecting. It is also worth noting that the BioCharge feature remains unavailable for users of the T-Rex 3 smartwatch (curr. $279.99 at Amazon) for the time being.
