Off the back of his latest eye-catching win, Oleksandr Usyk has been backed to join the elite ranks of a world champion to retire boasting an unbeaten record.

Improving to 24-0 over the course of the weekend, Usyk scored a brutal knockout win over Daniel Dubois inside just five rounds in their rematch at Wembley Stadium.

With his success, the Ukrainian became a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion — having previously held all the belts at the cruiserweight limit, too.

And with his continued reign of dominance, Usyk has been pegged to call time on his career in the midst of a gleaming, perfect run.

Shane Mosley backs Oleksandr Usyk to retire with unbeaten record in tow

Taking out a laundry list of heavyweight talent, including Anthony Joshua, Derek Chisora and arch-rival Tyson Fury twice, Usyk appears to be winding down his career in the ring, too.

Expected to feature just one more time as part of his heralded career, Usyk has been backed to prevail whoever he faces next by former three-weight kingpin, Shane Mosley — who gushed over the dominant kingpin.

“(Oleksandr) Usyk’s a bad man, huh?” Mosley told Seconds Out. “He’s a heavyweight — he became a real heavyweight.

“Nobody is beating him,” Mosley explained. “He has too much mentality, he has too much skill — he has power now. He’s a totally different fighter. Usyk is the man, yeah.”

And with potentially just one fight remaining in his illustrious career, Usyk’s swan song in the ring may have already been mapped out.

Promoter name-drops potential retirement foe for Oleksandr Usyk

Welcoming pairings with a host of above-mentioned talent off the back of his impressive second career knockout win over Dubois, Ukrainian star Usyk has been pegged by veteran promoter, Frank Warren to book a fresh matchup next.

As far as the Queensberry Promotions leader is concerned, Usyk should share the ring with Kiwi contender Joseph Parker next.

“The WBO, I am sure, or they already have ordered that he, being the WBO champion, has to make his mandatory defence against Joseph Parker,” Warren said after Usyk’s win.

“So, it’s Joseph Parker’s time.”
