Swindon and Gloucestershire Mind has launched a programme of events including a services open day, a trauma-focused talk, and a public art exhibition.

The open day will take place at The Junction from 12pm to 2.30pm and will highlight the charity’s work around community, inclusion, and promoting better mental health.

A trauma-informed talk will be held on October 15 from 10.30am to 12pm at Swindon Central Library.

The session will focus on supporting professionals exposed to trauma and the pressures of helping others under challenging conditions.

The charity is also inviting the public to submit artwork for an exhibition at Swindon Central Library.

Visitors can view the display from October 15 to 22.

Swindon and Gloucestershire Mind is encouraging businesses and individuals to take part in its ‘Light Swindon and Gloucester Blue’ campaign by illuminating buildings in blue on October 10.

People are also invited to wear blue clothing on the day to show visible support for mental health.

A Big Brunch fundraiser is also being promoted, with the public encouraged to host events throughout October.
