The events were spread over two Sundays, with three prestigious titles up for grabs across two excellent venues: West Bradford Golf Club and Northcliffe Golf Club.

On Sunday, September 21, the Handicap Matchplay Final at West Bradford took place, contested by Bracken Ghyll and South Bradford.

The Bracken Ghyll pair of Simon Heathcote and Andy Pepper produced a strong performance to defeat South Bradford’s Liam Byrne and Nick Wood by a margin of 3 and 2.

Heathcote and Pepper combined well throughout, maintaining steady pressure and ultimately closing out the match on the 16th hole. It was a well-deserved victory for the Bracken Ghyll duo, who showed consistency and composure under pressure.

And on Sunday, September 28, both the Amateur Matchplay Final and Inter Club Foursomes Final took place at Northcliffe.

In the Amateur Matchplay, Scot Minto (South Bradford) claimed the title with an impressive 4 and 3 win over Harry Goodison (Bradford).

Minto, who is also a member at Hanging Heaton, carried over the momentum from his recent victory in the Halifax/Huddersfield Union Singles Matchplay.

And in the Inter Club Foursomes Final, James Darcy and Pete Edmondson (Bingley St Ives) took on Dan Teece and Ian Willis (Baildon).

In a closely contested match, it was the Bingley St Ives pairing who gradually edged ahead, eventually sealing a 3 and 2 victory. Darcy and Edmondson dovetailed effectively throughout the round, managing the course well and capitalising on key opportunities to build a lead.

The result was a fitting reward for a composed and confident performance.
