In Singapore, walls line the asphalt, topped with high fences that give Marina Bay the look of a wrestling ring. Fighters and drivers can quickly suffer nasty knockouts when they hit the concrete framing the track too hard. George Russell and Liam Lawson experienced this painfully: the Briton missed a braking point and lost his front wing on the track, causing the first red flag of the weekend.

The second was sooner in coming, caused by Liam Lawson at the exit of Turn 14. The Kiwi lost the rear of his Racing Bulls, which hit the wall along its entire right side, causing a double puncture. Hadjar brilliant second
But the excellent news on the French side comes from Isack Hadjar’s 2nd fastest time, supersonic at the end of the session to come within a tenth of the time ofOscar piastri, the fastest of the session. By placing himself between the championship leader and the world champions Max Verstappen (3e) and Fernando Alonso (4th), Isack Hadjar showed his rapid adaptation to a circuit that he discovered this morning during Free Practice 1. On the other hand, the session was less brilliant for Ferrari with Charles Leclerc 9th and Lewis Hamilton 10th. Both men have a car encouraging, but still too poorly adjusted to ensure a stable and continuous performance over a lap. The Monegasque also made a name for himself by crashing Lando Norris in the pit lane just before the race resumed following the second red flag.
Ferrari let its driver go too early, without Charles Leclerc being able to do anything to avoid the McLaren, whose front wing had to be replaced in the shock. Lando Norris, however, did not have a great session, ultimately conceding 0.483s to his teammate Oscar Piastri.
